SPURS host Fulham on Wednesday night in the Premier League. Tom Love (@TomLove_18) shares his betting thoughts.

There’s been some added spice to this fixture after an exchange of opinions between Scott Parker and Jose Mourinho this week. Spurs were actually meant to play Aston Villa but it was called off due to COVID in the Villa camp and this game was therefore brought forward, something neither side would’ve expected but especially so for Fulham.
Parker has bemoaned the idea, the lack of preparation does seem a bit harsh on the Cottagers but it should add further fuel to their motivation to get a result here. They’ve actually been one of the most improved sides in the league over the winter, they’re currently on a five-match unbeaten run, they have drawn four of those five though.
Defensively, Fulham they’ve looked much more compact and harder to break down, I do think they can cause this Spurs side a few headaches with the North Londoners preferring to play in transition and on the counter attack.
I fancy the chances of a low-scoring encounter here for that reason. Jose teams can take a while to break through deep blocks and the Asian goal line looks a tad high at 2.75, I’ll plump for the unders at 22/25 or 1.88 in decimals with Bet365. The past five Fulham games have all seen fewer than three goals whereas 5/8 Spurs home games have also gone unders.
The card markets also take intrigue here, even more so after the war of words from the managers in the build up. Paul Tierney is the referee here and he’s given four or more cards in each of his last nine league matches. Spurs have been cautioned in 13/16 of their league games this season whilst Fulham have seen two or more cards in a massive 13/15.
We can get Spurs Over 0 Cards, Fulham Over 1 Card (6/5 Bet365) at a handsome 6/5, it makes plenty of appeal.
One longshot I’m being persistent with is Fulham’s all-action central midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa to be the highest rated player according to WhoScored.
WhoScored is a website that takes all manner of statistics to come up with an overall rating for a player in a game. Anguissa ranks as the highest rated Fulham player on average this season at 7.25/10, it’s no surprise given he ranks right up their in terms of pass accuracy, tackles, interceptions, dribbles and overall influence.
Anguissa is always too big in this market and 33/1 is an unfair representation of his chances of scooping the MOTM award. I’d make him more of a 14/1 shot here.
