The Sunday Spreadex: Unfashionable sides look pitched too low

BIDDING to continue his perfect spread betting record for us, Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) returns with a view on Sunday’s Premier League matches.

Premier League | Sunday

As it’s a European week there are four Premier League games to enjoy on Sunday. I’ve dipped into the spread markets on Spreadex and feel that the away sides are getting a raw deal in the Total Goals quotes. With that in mind I’ll be buying Sunday away goals at 3.4.

Brilliant Baggies

It’s a high noon start at Stamford Bridge as new title favourites Chelsea go for a ninth straight Premier League win against West Brom. While the Blues are in sensational form and are defensively prudent I think it’s worth chancing West Brom.

Tony Pulis’s side are riding high in the Top 7 at the moment and have a good record against Chelsea. The Baggies have beaten them in three of the last five seasons and last season scored four times against them. Antonio Conte’s side have conceded in their last two league games and even just a goal for the Baggies here would put me on the road to hope.

Cleansed

Top of the bill on Sunday is the match at Old Trafford where Manchester United face Tottenham. It’s hard to have any steely faith in the home side and I’m hoping Spurs can nick a goal or even more.

It’s eight goals in the last two matches for the North London side and with their Champions League nightmare over hopefully they’ll feel cleansed here and punish a Manchester United side all at sea.

Europa League

Middlesbrough are the away side in Game 3 and while Aitor Karanka’s side are not formidable scorers they meet a Southampton side low on confidence after having been knocked out the Europa League.

Saints have lost to Hull this season and the mood at St Mary’s on Sunday may be sombre after their very disappointing Europa League performance.

Vulnerable

Liverpool host West Ham in the fourth and final Sunday match and while the visitors look an utter state just now I do feel they are capable of registering against an always vulnerable Liverpool.

West Ham have scored in their last five matches while Liverpool may be having nightmares about leaking three against Bournemouth last Sunday.

Staking Plan

So my rational above explains why I’m happy buying away goals on Sunday at 3.4. A £20 stake on this could leave me in a strong position. If, say, six are scored I’ll be 2.6 goals over the quote and be collecting £52 (20 x 2.6 = 52).

An amazing 10 goal away haul will see me £132 richer (20 x 6.6 = 132). Of course things may go wrong though and if only one goal is registered by WBA, Spurs, Boro and West Ham I’ll be down £48 (20 x 2.4 = 48).
