CHELSEA travel to Sevilla on Wednesday in the Champions League. Daniel McCulloch (@DMcCulloch1984) shares his favourite fancies.

While some Champions League groups have been gripping, Group E certainly isn’t one of them, with Chelsea and Sevilla both having already qualified for the next stage of the competition with two games to spare.
Since their stalemate in the opening game of this competition, both sides have won all three fixtures. Chelsea have only conceded one goal in the process, while Sevilla have only been breached on three occasions.
With both sides level on ten points, they will each be aware of the value of finishing top of the group and avoiding the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Barcelona in the next round although with the volume of domestic fixtures over the coming month I don’t believe winning this fixture is a huge priority right now for either side.
Chelsea have improved immeasurably at the back this season and have only conceded two goals in their last nine matches in all competitions. Given that those two matches were the only two of that sample that saw BTTS land, I did consider backing BTTS No, especially given that only four of Sevilla’s last nine fixtures have seen both sides oblige.
However, I think 1-1 is a real runner here so would rather keep that onside and take the 10/11 with Bet365 on Under 2.5 Goals.
Three of Chelsea’s last nine matches have finished goalless and while just four of nine have seen Under 2.5 goals oblige, the games which have featured three goals or more came against Burnley, Sheffield United, FK Krasnodar and Rennes (twice).
The Sevilla side they face on Wednesday have only conceded 11 goals in 13 games in all competitions since La Liga returned to action on 27th September and given that Chelsea failed to score (or create much) in the return fixture at Stamford Bridge, I do not expect many goals here.
Additionally, given that Sevilla face Real Madrid on Saturday afternoon while Chelsea face a tough match against Leeds United then as well so I really don’t see a desperate search for a late winner if the game is goalless or 1-1. With that in mind, the 5/2 Unibet are offering on a draw looks pretty big to me in what promises to be a tight encounter.
