Serie A Tips | 27th September 2015

OUR man in Rome Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) is back with a clutch of Serie A bets for Sunday.

Inter v Fiorentina | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport Europe

I have rarely seen something similar to FC Inter this season. The team managed by Roberto Mancini have registered five wins in a row to start the season, but they shown a lack of quality and have found creating chances hard.

According to stats, Inter are among the worst teams in Serie A for goal opportunities created, and their 1-0 win over Verona midweek typified that.

We got lucky when I advised a big stake on Inter to beat Carpi last month, they got over the line eventually but they didn’t deserve the three points that day.

The luck of Mancini should finally come to an end on Sunday night. I won’t say the neroazzurri are going to lose as Fiorentina are another side who have ridden their luck this season but I think they’ll get something from the game. I’ll side with them in the Double Chance market.

Torino v Palermo | Sunday 14:00

I’ve been praising Torino for the last two seasons as they shown some real quality finishing and have finished Top 10 for the last two seasons. On top of this they’ve been smart enough to knock out some big teams in the Europa League.

I can’t say the same about Palermo, who have struggled a lot since they parted ways with Paulo Dybala. The young guy isn’t shining at Juventus yet, but he was the key man for Palermo along with Franco Vazquez.

Alberto Giardino is not a decent striker anymore, while the young promising Andrea Belotti has been sold to Torino, and he could add another wound to his old team on Sunday.

Torino have a fantastic home record in recent seasons. They even managed to defeat Juventus after 20 years and I am expecting them to finish off Palermo, as they did with Sampdoria in just half an hour.

Verona v Lazio | Sunday 14:00 | BT Sport Extra

I expected Lazio to be a little bigger here to be honest but I’m still very confident they’ll be too strong for a Verona side who’ve been hammered by injuries in recent times.

Both Luca Toni and Giampaolo Pazzini will be out for this match, leaving the home side without a central striker. Plus, they will be missing Emil Halfredsson and he is key for this Verona side.

Lazio have not been playing great so far this season, especially in away games where they’ve conceded five goals at Napoli and four at Chievo. I’ve a feeling things will change in Verona though and my confidence is strengthened by the return of Lucas Biglia. The Argentinian is a key man for the biancocelesti and if Felipe Anderson can keep up his scoring form, Lazio can get the three points here.

Best Bets

Torino v Palermo – Torino to win (4/5 Coral)

Verona v Lazio – Lazio to win (23/20 Coral)

Inter v Fiorentina – Fiorentina +1 (19/20 Bet365)
