OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Sunday selections.
Bologna v Pescara | Sunday 14:00
Bologna might well want to end the season with a victory in their stadium and facing Pescara seems to be the right occasion to do that.
The visitors are already relegated, as said, and have nothing to prove to this Serie A anymore. Bologna had a difficult period but it seems they have overcome it, as they arrive here with some decent results, especially on home turf, exemplified by a 4-1 win against Chievo and 4-0 to Udinese.
I expect a similar game when they take on Pescara who have the worst defensive record in Serie A with 76 goals conceded in 35 games. It’s Bologna and Over 1.5 for me.
Sampdoria v Chievo | Sunday 14:00
Another home victory I like is Sampdoria against Chievo, who are safe and solid since January and usually do not put up a fight when travelling.
It is true they won their last match in Genoa, but before that they had four consecutive losses and usually their performances do not match their home solidity.
Sampdoria have had a wonderful second part of the season and there is a star that is shining among their attackers: Patrik Schick. The youngster is proving to be an amazing talent and I expect him to be dangerous again today.
Torino v Napoli | Sunday 14:00 | BT Sport 2
This is a big match between Torino and Napoli. The visitors are pushing to get the second place and must win every game until the end of the season with expectations of Roma struggling against Juventus at home.
The partenopei should play the same usual offensive game, and their ability to find the net is also proved by stats. Despite having lost Gonzalo Higuain, who scored 36 last season, they still have the best scoring record in Serie A with Dries Mertens running riots as a fake number 9.
Torino won’t be an easy travel though, and I expect them to score at least once. That is why I prefer goals and I’ll back Over 3.5 Goals in the game.
Crotone v Udinese | Sunday 14:00
I like Crotone’s chances against a Udinese side who are not really motivated and struggling a lot away from home where they have had one win in the last ten occasions. On the contrary the home side are desperately pushing to avoid relegation, sitting four points behind Empoli with three games to go.
Their performances in the second part of the season have been remarkable: they have beaten Inter at home, held AC Milan to a draw and also beaten Sampdoria away. I think this home game against Udinese will be a relatively easier task and I like the price for a home win here.
