Serie A – Sardinians to be silenced in the Eternal City on Saturday

Roma

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Saturday selections.

Inter Milan v Udinese | Saturday 16th December 2017, 14:00

Inter Milan are up and running after Napoli have failed to win against Fiorentina.

The Nerazzurri are leading Serie A and they should be top of the league also after this weekend. Udinese have showed some sign of improvement recently, but they are still far from reliable away from home.

Inter should have no problems in winning this match and despite their early goal-shy trend, I see them much more convincing against small teams. Also, Udinese chances to score are to be considered and that is why I am backing Inter to win and Over 2.5 Goals at 19/20 (Ladbrokes).

Torino v Napoli | Saturday 16th December 2017, 17:30 | BT Sport

That is a very delicate match for Napoli.

I consider the Partenopei eventually able to take the three points here, but I prefer to back goals to be safer.

Napoli have had very hard problems in terms of goalscoring, but they’ve showed shades of old form against Fiorentina. The return of Lorenzo Insigne should provide enough offensive quality to overcome Torino’s defence.

But also, the Granata are always a fearsome goal-machine and Andrea Belotti should find the net after a long period of drought. Therefore, Over 2.5 Goals appeals at 37/50 (Marathon)

Roma v Cagliari | Saturday 16th December 2017, 19:45 | BT Sport

Finally, Roma should win their match against Cagliari.

This game should have no discussion as Roma are showing some superb performances this season. Their Champions League campaign was extraordinary, and recently they’ve only dropped points against Chievo and Genoa, in two very unlucky situations.

What is utterly most impressive is probably the Giallorossi’s defensive efforts; they are the best defence in the league alongside with Napoli and Inter, showing some extreme solidity against small teams. That is why I am backing Cagliari not to score a single goal at the Olimpico.

You can back the Sardinians to score Under 0.5 Goals at 21/20 (Boylesports).
