Serie A – No way past the Old Lady on Wednesday night

Ballardini - Genoa

OUR man in Rome and resident Serie A expert Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) has found four fancies to share from Wednesday night’s action.

Udinese v Lazio | Wednesday 26th September 2018, 18:00 | Eleven Sports

This is one of the usual matches Lazio win in the second part of the game.

The Biancocelesti proved to have an extraordinary record away from home last season, and despite playing some more conservative football, this trend should continue also in 2018/19.

The visitors also have a positive record in Udine, where they’ve won their last two trips.

This season Udinese do not seem to have an adequate team and some inexperience could be decisive for them.

Lazio to win at 17/20 (Betfair).

Napoli v Parma | Wednesday 26th September 2018, 20:00

Napoli have literally walked away with a win in Turin in their last display, where they found the net so easily relying on their wingers. I expect a similar match when they host Parma at the San Paolo.

The visitors have proved to be a tough test for Inter (who were beaten in San Siro) and Juventus (who struggled a lot to win in Parma).

Gervinho seems to be back in his prime days, and last week he scored an absolute screamer against Cagliari.

With Napoli rotating a few at the back, I see Parma capable of scoring at least once and so Both Teams To Score (22/19 Unibet) stands out.

Genoa v Chievo | Wednesday 26th September 2018, 20:00

We are going against Chievo since the start of the season. We backed them to go down to Serie B, and the recent verdict that gave them a three points penalty put them in a difficult situation, sitting at the bottom of the table, with -1 points.

This should hit very much on their morale, adding to their technical poorness and a lack of mental motivation.

Genoa, on the other hand, are probably changing too much from their usual style, but the explosion of the youngster Krzysztof Piątek could be enough to beat the Flying Donkeys.

Genoa to win (89/100 Marathon).

Juventus v Bologna | Wednesday 26th September 2018, 20:00 | Eleven Sports

Bologna are probably one of the weakest sides of the whole Serie A, and only Roma knows how they managed to concede two goals to this side.

With the departure of Simone Verdi to Napoli, their attack is far from being a menace for any opponent, and this was showed in their first four Serie A matches where they could not score a single goal.

I do reckon their challenge will be near to impossible at the Juventus Stadium, where the host do not like to concede goals to anyone.

Last season, Juve conceded just eight times here – a league record – and Bologna truly do not have the right weapons to menace such superiority.

Juventus to win ‘to nil’ is 8/11 (BetVictor).
