OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) smashed it last season with a +167 unit profit. Here he pens his first Serie A Sunday column of the season.
Torino v Sassuolo | Sunday 17:00 | BT Sport 3
Torino are starting the season with lot of expectations. They seem to have found a way to keep Andrea Belotti at home, and he will be a major threat in this very dangerous attack.
This side should be safe without any worries and they are just asked to prove something valid above the 10th position.
Sassuolo have changed a lot since last season and they might not be able to deliver as consistently as they they have in recent seasons.
I’m picking Torino to win here, but I’ll get involve with better odds and back them to score Over 1.5 goals.
Chievo v Lazio | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport 1
Chievo are a very solid side who rarely had trouble in maintaining their Serie A status last season. They lack the quality of many rivals but their solidity is something to admire.
I am simply asking them to avoid defeat against Lazio here, the visitors are not at the top of their form. Despite having won the Supercoppa final against Juve, they miss both Felipe Anderson and Keita Balde, who add superb quality to this team.
Fiorentina v Sampdoria | Sunday 19:45
This match should provide lot of goals from both ends. Fiorentina have lost their best player in this transfer window, but they still have quality upfront and the recent addition of Cholito Simeone is maybe the best news of their transfer window.
Sampdoria have performed well under Marco Giampaolo last season, who showed a very brave approach in every match. It’s Over 2.5 Goals for me.
AC Milan v Cagliari | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport 1
AC Milan have been impressive so far. Their transfer window looks very positive and their team looks armed with quality. The rossoneri have grabbed convincing victories both in the Europe League and in domestic action.
It is true that their rivals were not very hard to beat, but I still rate these early rossoneri days as very interesting. That is why I am pleased to back them to win with Over 2.5 goals in the match.
Napoli v Atalanta | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport 3
Napoli have started even better then AC Milan. Their two wins against Nice showed how great the partenopei are, and their superiority was never in discussion, against a side who finished third in Ligue 1 almost fighting at the same level with PSG and Monaco.
Nothing should change in Napoli’s approach against Atalanta. The bergamaschi are a very dangerous side, but I do not think they will have enough to stop Napoli. They’ve also lost some key players from last season and I feel like they are still working to fight their solidity back.
