Serie A: Back the Old Lady to open up Chievo on Saturday

Dybala - Juventus

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) smashed it last season with a +167 unit profit. Here’s his views on Saturday’s action from Serie A.

Juventus v Chievo | Saturday 9th September 2017, 17:00

Juventus host Chievo looking for their third consecutive win to start the Serie A season. The hosts are a major candidate to retain title this term and should leave Chievo with few chances in Turin.

Juve have an impressive record of 84% victories at their new stadium in domestic action. They’ve only lost once here in the last five years, and their only draw last season was against Chievo, who managed to keep Juventus to a 1-1 draw.

I do not believe they will repeat that miracle again.

As said in the previous week’s previews, Juventus seem to be a lot more offensively-minded than previous seasons.

Quality additions such as Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi give a wide range of attacking options. The Brazilian international should start for the first time for Juventus and I think he will be a major factor in Juve’s play.

I’ll have Juve to win and Over 2.5 Goals at 4/5 (BetStars).

Sampdoria v Roma | Saturday 9th September 2017, 19:45 | BT Sport

Normally, I would forecast goals at both ends in such a interesting match but the weather is a real concern in Genoa. It seems there could be difficult conditions and the game could easily be postponed.

So I won’t be recommending a bit here. I’ll be avoiding the match altogether as conditions just aren’t in favour.
