THE Daily Record’s Mr Fixit (@mrfixittips) gives us his three best bets in Scotland this weekend.
Kilmarnock v Dundee United | Saturday 12.30
It’s been a season to forget for Dundee United but at least they’ve plundered the manager of their choice.
Relegation cost Mixu Paatelainen his job and in his absence the side led by Gordon Young immediately looked better as they beat Inverness 3-2 and came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Partick Thistle on Tuesday.
So things could be looking for the club with the appointment of Raith’s Ray McKinnon for next season’s tilt at the Championship title.
United finish at second-bottom Kilmarnock on Saturday and with Lee Clark’s men facing a play-off next week he could rest key men.
So with McKinnon on board and two decent displays in the bag and I’m looking at United Draw No Bet at evens with Paddy Power.
Queen’s Park v Clyde | Saturday 15.00
As far the play-offs go it’s Queen’s Park v Clyde for a place in League One.
Queen’s dominated the first leg at Broadwood and ran up a 3-1 win.
I can’t see them slipping up at Hampden with the experience of Gus MacPherson guiding them.
Queen’s are 11/8 at SkyBet to increase their advantage but I’m happy to take them Draw No Bet at 4/5 with Coral.
Ayr v Stranraer | Sunday 14.45
On Sunday Ayr and Stranraer resume their Championship play-off at 1-1 and this could be a cracker.
Ayr needed an injury-time leveller at Stair Park and are 2/5 with bet365 to lift the trophy and 7/10 to win on the day.
Four of five meetings between the sides this season have seen both score and there should be goals again. Take BTTS at 4/6 with Coral.
