BACK after his winter break, please welcome back Willie Duncan (@Willie_Duncan) as he bids to bang in another Scottish winner.

Dundee United v Inverness Caledonian Thistle | Saturday 15:00

What do Dundee United have to do to command the respect of the odds compilers?

Jackie McNamara’s men were ranked as no-hopers in some quarters ahead of their trip to New Douglas Park last week and despite clinching a thrilling 3-2 win over Hamilton Accies, the Terrors can still be backed at odds-against this weekend to beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Tannadice.

United showed tremendous spirit last week to claim all three points despite seeing a two-goal lead evaporate in the second half and I’m scratching my head at the prices on offer for a home win, especially when you consider Dundee United’s record at Tannadice thus far this term.

Jackie McNamara’s men have won eight of their 10 home matches already this season – and I can see them making it nine wins from 11 games when they line up against John Hughes’ side this weekend.

Inverness are a decent side but their away form is patchy at best. The Caley Jags have lost four times on the road already this season and, despite boasting a mean defence, I expect the visitors to more than meet their match when they travel to take on a side that has scored 42 goals already this season – more than any other club in the Scottish top flight.

For that reason, I’ll be backing the chunky 6/4 for Dundee United to beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Tannadice on Saturday afternoon. It’s my best bet of the Scottish football card this weekend – get involved!
