Scottish Football – Thrilling cup clash forecast, says Mr Fixit

DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland from the weekend’s action.

Hibs v Celtic | Saturday 21st October 2017, 12:15 | BT Sport

It’s Betfred Cup semi-final weekend and bookies make an Old Firm final no bigger than 1/2 with the sponsors.

Let’s face it – the bookies want to see Celtic v Rangers at Hampden but I don’t think the Glasgow giants will get it all their own way.

Hibs gave the Hoops a fright a couple of weeks ago when they drew 2-2 at Celtic Park in the league and Motherwell have won three of their last four and smashed Aberdeen 3-0 in the quarters with a superb display.

Let’s focus on Saturday’s match and Celtic need to lift themselves after losing 3-0 to Bayern on Wednesday.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are in the middle of a hectic spell but domestically the manager always seems to find a way and a best price of 2/5 with Betfred to win in 90 minutes is better than it was for the league clash.

That will tempt many and again I’m on Both Teams To Score at 10/11 with Bet365. It was 2-2 recently and Neil Lennon’s men give it a real go again against a Hoops side who could be leg weary after their Champions League exertions.

Hearts v St Johnstone | Saturday 21st October 2017, 15:00

The past two meetings of these sides at Tynecastle ended 2-2 and while this one is at Murrayfield it should still see goals.

Hearts are on a run of four consecutive games with both teams scoring and Saints, after back-to-back 3-0 defeats to Aberdeen and Rangers, should hit the net with top scorer Michael O’Halloran returning from injury.

Take Both Teams To Score at 4/5 at Ladbrokes.

Forfar v Ayr | Saturday 21st October 2017, 15:00

Forfar are bottom of League One after failing to win since the opening day and I’m expecting Ayr to show no mercy.

The Honest Men are unbeaten in four and have an impressive away record with three wins and one defeat – to leaders Raith – in their four road trips so far.

Eight of their nine league games have at least three goals so an Ayr win and Over 2.5 Goals is the call at 6/5 with Ladbrokes.

Best Bets

Hibs v Celtic – Both Teams To Score (10/11 Bet365)

Hearts v St Johnstone – Both Teams To Score (4/5 Ladbrokes)

Forfar v Ayr – Ayr to win and Over 2.5 Goals (6/5 Ladbrokes)
