DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) shares his best bets from Sunday’s Scottish action.
Celtic v Aberdeen | Sunday 2nd December 2018, 15:00 | BT Sport
Brendan Rodgers has won every domestic trophy since taking charge of Celtic two years ago and the Hoops are just 2/7 with Paddy Power to add a seventh on Sunday – the first part of a potential triple treble.
Aberdeen again stand in their way and are 10/3 at bet365 but go into the final on the back of a dreadful 3-0 defeat at Motherwell last week.
Celtic are close to their best form and eased past Rosenborg away to keep their Europa League Last 32 hopes alive on Thursday night. It’s difficult to see anything but the favourites winning and they are a biggest 4/9 to win in 90 minutes with Aberdeen 9/1 at William Hill.
Celtic have won 12 of their last 13 meetings against the Dons with the exception at the end of last season when their eye was off the ball. Seven of the Hoops’ last nine triumphs over the Dons – including the past four in a row – have come without conceding and that looks likely again with Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic having struck up formidable centre-back pairing for Rodgers.
The only goal Celtic have conceded in seven games came against Bundesliga side Leizpig and I’m backing Celtic to win ‘to nil’ at 11/8 with BetVictor.
Hearts v Rangers | Sunday 2nd December 2018, 12:00 | BT Sport
Rangers travel to Tynecastle in the first part of Scottish football’s Super Sunday double-header with Steven Gerrard looking to guide his side top of the Premiership for the first time.
The Ibrox men will move one point clear of Celtic at the summit if they beat Hearts and I’m taking them at 5/6 with Ladbrokes.
Rangers should see off a Jambos side who have slipped to third after four defeats in a row and haven’t netted in five.
Craig Levein is missing big players at both ends, especially Steven Naismith, and Rangers should edge this.
