THE Daily Record’s Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland this weekend.
Aberdeen v Rangers | Sunday 12:30 | Sky Sports 2
Aberdeen are desperate to rack up an 11th straight home win on Sunday to equal the record of Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary side of the 80s. It would also comes with the sweetener of all but securing second spot at the expense of Rangers.
The Dons have brushed aside all-comers at Pittodrie in recent months and face a Gers team beset by injury problems and still finding their feet under new boss Pedro Caixinha.
A 4-0 debut defeat of Hamilton was a great start but his side have gone in reverse with back-to-back draws against Motherwell and Kilmarnock.
Aberdeen won the previous Pittodrie clash with the Ibrox men 2-1 and can grab another victory at 21/20 with Betfred.
St Mirren v Dumbarton | Saturday 15:00
The relegation race in the Championship remains fascinating with four points separating the bottom four.
For weeks I’ve been saying St Mirren will be safe and they can climb off the foot by beating Dumbarton at home.
Saints were one of my top tips last week and duly routed Ayr 6-2. It won’t be as easy today with the Sons taking seven points in three meetings but I’m on the Paisley men at 5/6 with Marathon.
Clyde v Annan | Saturday 15:00
A third-minute red card led to Annan being hammered 5-2 by second-placed Arbroath in League Two last week but they can bounce back at struggling Clyde.
Before last week’s setback Annan had won six of seven and are still in the promotion play-off spots.
Second-bottom Clyde have lost three on the bounce and have just one win in 18.
Annan look big at 41/20 with Marathon but I’ll take the safety net of draw no bet at 11/10 with Bet365.
