My selection this weekend comes from the Betfred Cup and I’m backing Hearts (10/11 Marathon) to continue their excellent start to the season at Championship side Dunfermline.
The Jambos are unbeaten in their opening six games and sit top of the Premiership with only the 100% record in the division.
Craig Levein’s men deservedly beat Celtic 1-0 last weekend to follow up their impressive 4-1 win at Hamilton on the opening day.
Dunfermline have had a decent start to their own campaign until last weekend’s 3-1 loss to Ross County at home. The County defeat showed they’re not quite up to the standard of competing for promotion and will find it even harder on Saturday when the Jam Tarts roll into town backed by over 4,000 away supporters.
Hearts should have more than enough to see off Championship opposition and a generous 10/11 is a price not to be missed.
