CLUBS from the north of Scotland feature in the live Monday night game on BT Sport. Who does Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) think will win?
Ross County v Aberdeen | Monday 19:45 | BT Sport 1
If Liverpool are always too short in the betting in England, then Aberdeen are their Scottish cousins. Some firms are as short as 4/7 on the Dons winning away on Monday and that looks unappealing.
Derek McInnes’s side are in decent form at the moment with just one defeat in their last eight all-competition games. But the fact they’re in the bottom half of the table tells it’s own story. Aberdeen have lost to St Johnstone, been thumped 3-0 by Hamilton and dropped points at home to St Mirren. Even in victory they’ve been edgy, with their last four wins by the odd goal.
Ross County are onto their second manager of the season with Jim McIntyre replacing Derek Adams in September. After a shaky start, McIntyre’s methods are starting to bear fruit. They’ve lost just one of their last four matches, beaten in-form Dundee and got a draw in Inverness. The former Queen Of The South boss will be targeting Premiership survival.
Aberdeen have never won away at Ross County, and I’m banking on that stat remaining intact after this match. There is a noticeable gradual improvement in Ross County and that can only grow. Aberdeen are not to be trusted at short odds and at a best price 7/10 with Ladbrokes I’m happy to swerve. I’ll get with Ross +1 at odds of 11/8 with Bet365 as I think they’ll make it very difficult for Aberdeen on Monday.
