Roma v Fiorentina is surely the most interesting match of Serie A, with the two teams meeting at the Stadio Olimpico in a Tuesday night.
The hosts title’s chances slipped with their defeat at the Marassi against Sampdoria last weekend and now they have to battle against a resurgent Napoli who have a point advantage in the table ahead of Tuesday’s match.
I am siding with the Giallorossi to get back on the track though, as the stats suggests. Despite not having their supporters back in the stadium, Roma have a tremendous home record of 100% wins in their 10 games – only Juventus have managed a better record with their record-breaking home run – but Giallorossi have proved to be at the same level as hosts.
On the other hand, Fiorentina haven’t a bad record at home but they already lost five times, including a 3-1 defeat in the same stadium against Lazio away. The Viola seem to have found shades of the previous season’s form but I do not trust them enough, especially when they have Nicola Kalinic sidelined ahead of a proposed move to China.
Roma have scored 28 goals in their 10 home games, so the wisest bet would be Roma to score Over 1.5 goals here, but the odds are not really intriguing. Because of that I will back Roma to win and over 1.5 goals to be scored in the game at 19/20 (BetStars).
