Premier League Darts Tips | 18th February 2016 | Sky Sports 1

AFTER an excellent night last Thursday Wayne Dews (@dewsy_21) is back with two Premier League picks this Thursday.

The Premier League Darts bandwagon rolls into Dublin on Thursday night as another evening of fantastic tungsten action is expected. Things went excellently  last week with two successful winning selections, and hopefully we can continue in the same vein here.

Dave Chisnall v Michael Smith | Thursday 20:10 | Sky Sports 1

Both players are on comeback missions in this contest. ‘Chizzy’ tasted Premier League defeat for the first time last week in Newcastle with a 7-4 reversal against Adrian Lewis, while Michael Smith suffered his third consecutive loss – his only crumb of comfort coming from the fact he claimed four legs in a 7-4 defeat to James Wade.

Smith is still desperately trying to find his feet on the Premier League scene – coping with huge crowds and short leg-based matches. With the pressure on every time he comes to the oche the hugely talented 25 year-old is finding it tough.

With that in mind, Coral’s offer of 10/11 on a Chisnall win looks decent value for a player in good form against an opponent who is seriously struggling. My advice is to grab the value quick before it goes!

Michael van Gerwen v Adrian Lewis | Thursday 21:45 | Sky Sports 1

Dutchman van Gerwen hit back in Week 2 against Gary Anderson after his opening night defeat to James Wade, but current league leader Adrian Lewis hopefully offers stiff competition on Thursday night.

Lewis has dropped just five legs so far in dismissing Michael Smith and Dave Chisnall, with his new equipment. Lewis is now throwing with a two gram heavier dart and the results are already bearing fruit.

At the peak of his powers, van Gerwen is almost unplayable, but the confidence and form levels that Lewis is currently showing offers strong hope for the Englishman here.

The bet that catches the eye in this matchup is in the Handicap market as Lewis can be backed with a +2.5 leg start at even money with Betfred and Coral. Even a 7-5 van Gerwen victory will be a winner for us and if both players can find their best form for this contest, then we are in for a treat.

Best Bets

Dave Chisnall v Michael Smith – Dave Chisnall to win (10/11 Coral)

Michael van Gerwen v Adrian Lewis – Adrian Lewis +2.5 Legs (Evens Coral)
