THE Premier League weekend gets underway at Carrow Road as Norwich host Liverpool. Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) brings the bets.

Norwich v Liverpool | Saturday 12:45 | BT Sport 1

Last week the Racing Post asked their sports betting panel who they expected to be relegated. From what I remember all but one of them picked Norwich.

There seems to be a growing acceptance at the moment that the Canaries will flutter their way into the relegation zone come the Spring. I have to say that I sit amongst that train of thought.

My interest was originally piqued by their relegation price a few weeks back which looked big. That’s now as short as 9/4 which hardly screams from the rooftops but it’s sure to be a tetchy time ahead for the club.

Having said all that, on paper they have a real chance here at odds of 100/30. They boast a fine home record and are up against a team who are incredibly hard to call.

Let’s concentrate on that home record first. They haven’t lost in the league at Carrow Road for three months. Since then they’ve gone P5 W3 D2 L0.

The draws in some ways were more impressive than the wins if that makes sense. Everton were held 1-1 but before that leaders Arsenal flew to Norfolk and Alex Neil’s held them to another 1-1 draw.

Swansea, Aston Villa and Southampton were the sides they’ve beaten in this three month period. The first two should be relegation rivals of Norwich while Southampton were in the thick of an appalling run of eight defeats in 10. Yeah I’m nitpicking, but there are nits to pick amongst those wins.

Liverpool remain an enigma. A horrid side to write betting previews about. A side that make me look stupid on regular occasions. But one must plough on and try and call them here.

As a neutral you couldn’t help feel a little sorry for them last week when they lost to Manchester United. They just weren’t clinical enough and it cost them.

I think they’ll score here and I reckon Norwich will too and that’s why I’m backing Both Teams To Score at a fairly decent 19/20 with BetVictor.

Reasons for thinking Norwich will score? Well, we’ve just gone through their excellent home record. Unbeaten in three months and they’ve scored in nine of their 10 league games at Carrow Road this season.

Reasons for thinking Liverpool will score? Well, you can never tell with this bunch but their opponents have now leaked nine goals in their last three matches and the loss in Bournemouth will have hurt them.

Liverpool were strong enough to put three past leaders Arsenal last week and simply have to be scoring here if they wish to be taken seriously for a Top 6 finish.
