NFL MNF Betting Preview & Tips: Ebron to excel in Cincinnati

Ebron - Steelers

NFL expert Tom Selwyn (@Tom_Selwyn) shares his expert opinion on the best bets available from Monday night’s action from Week 15.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals | Tuesday 22nd December 2020, 01:15 | Sky Sports

Facing the Bengals this Monday night should come as welcome relief for the Steelers who, after starting the season 11-0, have dropped two straight games to fellow AFC contenders. A Cincinnati team that you’ve beaten 11 games in a row and is starting a 3rd string QB certainly looks like it should be the tonic Pittsburgh needs to get back to winning ways.

The Steelers should, if they have aspirations of a Super Bowl this year, make sure this game isn’t close as they are by far the more talented team, but I generally don’t like double-digit handicaps when we see garbage time TDs each week.

I do like the matchup that Pittsburgh TE Eric Ebron has this week though; Cincinnati’s defence has given up 867 yard to TEs this year, which is the 2nd most in the league. Recently Ebron had become more of a red zone specialist with the Colts, but his role with the Steelers this year is a little more expansive and is currently 10th in yards at his position.

Ebron’s been given a minimum of 5 targets in all but 2 games this year and has 27 in his last 3 games. He should have a decent amount of opportunities again this week and so I’ll be backing a TE for the 2nd week in a row. Ebron to have Over 36.5 receiving yards is my pick this week.

One for Game Pass’ Game in 40 in the morning I’d say for this game.

Best Bets

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals – Eric Ebron Over 36.5 Receiving Yards (5/6 Bet365)
