National League – Three Picks from Paul This Weekend

Sutton

NON-LEAGUE expert Paul Maddison (@LouthBigDog) shares his favourite fancies from a Saturday card of National League action.

Solihull Moors v Torquay | Saturday 17th March 2018, 15:00

This is a huge match for both these teams who are struggling at the wrong end of the table. If results go the right way for Solihull they could see themselves out of the bottom 4 in their fight for survival. They have been playing well recently despite some very tough fixtures, but at home is where they have been particularly strong.

They have won five of their last seven at home with the other two games ending in draws against Wrexham and Boreham Wood who are both chasing promotion. They will welcome back striker Adi Yussuf after his one game suspension and that should be a big help. Torquay are five points adrift of their opponents and a loss here will put them in big trouble.

They have lost three of their last four and have struggled defensively with only bottom of the table Guiseley conceding more goals. The price for a home win is shortening but you can still get 11/10 at 10Bet.

Maidstone v Sutton Utd | Saturday 17th March 2018, 15:00

Maidstone sit just three places above the relegation zone and could yet find themselves sucked into a battle for survival come the end of the season.

Their form has tailed off significantly over the last few months and they have now lost seven of their last 10 matches. They face one of this seasons surprise packages in Sutton who are having a great season and still have every chance of winning the league.

They have won eight of their last 11 matches including their last four in a row. They sit just two points and a place behind Macclesfield who have a tough trip to Dover. Bit of a strange price, but the away win is 133/100 at Marathon Bet.

Chester v Aldershot | Saturday 17th March 2018, 15:00

Chester look in all sorts of trouble both on and off the pitch. They have lost eight of their last 10 matches and failed to score in six of them.

Aldershot’s form has slipped a bit recently but they still sit in 5th place and will be desperate for a win to help cement their spot in the play-offs come the end of the season and they should be strong enough to take all three points here.

A win for The Shots is available at 6/5 with Marathon Bet.
