D.C. United v Los Angeles FC | Saturday 6th April 2019, 20:00
D.C. United versus Los Angeles FC on Saturday evening is a meeting between two sides who are both in red-hot form – D.C. top the Eastern Conference whilst LAFC lead the way in the West.
D.C. have almost been faultless in how they have started 2019, winning three of their first four matches and scoring nine goals, whilst conceding just the one which came in Orlando last weekend.
LAFC sit at the top of the West having taken 13 points from their first five games. They aren’t just winning games, they are scoring goals for fun. Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi have been dismantling teams on their own, but let’s not forget Wayne Rooney who is in frightening form for DC, scoring four goals in his last two outings.
This is going to be a mouthwatering game that will see many exciting players going forward, and that is for both teams. Over 2.5 Goals has landed in all five of LAFC’s matches so far this season, and in those games, they found the net themselves at least twice.
D.C. United are looking strong defensively, but it will be very impressive if they manage to keep Bob Bradley’s side out.
Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams To Score (8/11 Bet365) has landed in 4/5 of LAFC’s matches so far this season, and that’s the bet I fancy in this game.
Orlando City v Colorado Rapids | Sunday 7th April 2019, 00:30
Orlando City are preparing to host the Colorado Rapids this weekend as they look to bounce back from their 2-1 home defeat against D.C. United last time out.
The Lions are still searching for their first three points on home soil, but they are set to take on Colorado who haven’t yet won a game in 2019. The Rapids’ defensive woes from 2018 have continued into this season as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their opening five fixtures.
Orlando’s form at home in recent times has been worrying to say the least, but I would back them to have enough to get back on track against a Colorado side who have won three times on the road in as many years.
Let’s not forget Orlando’s recent performance away from home against one of the league’s strongest sides, the New York Red Bulls. They proved that night that they are capable of defending well – when the tactics are right. And it’s also hard to criticise a defeat against D.C. United who could very well be potential MLS Cup champions in 2019.
When you sit and take a look at Colorado’s form in the away column, it’s hard not to be tempted by Orlando City at 5/6 (BetVictor).
