MLS: Entertainment expected on Friday night in Toronto

Michael Bradley - Toronto

MLS boff Luke Beaumont (@LBBeaumont) scans his eye over Friday night’s Major League Soccer action, picking out his best bet.

Toronto FC v Columbus Crew | Saturday 00:00

This is a game I am expecting to see goals in, and to be an entertaining spectacle.

The home-side have a conundrum going forward as Jozy Altidore misses out through suspension and Sebastian Giovinco is still on the treatment table.

Toronto’s last MLS outing was a visit to New York Red Bulls last weekend, and it was a match not short of drama. Altidore missed a penalty late in the game to win it, and Tosaint Ricketts thought he’d stole the three-points for Toronto when he had the ball in the net, but it was ruled out.

Columbus Crew’s form this month has been up and down, following the pattern of win-loss-win-loss but they have provided plenty of goals and entertainment in those fixtures. They will be boosted by the news of Altidore and Giovinco missing out but they need to be very wary of Ricketts.

The two sides met earlier this month at Mapfre Stadium, and Rickett’s earned three-points for Toronto after scoring a brace in the last 10 minutes, completing a turnaround and a 2-1 victory.

I fancy this game to be end-to-end with both sides getting plenty of chances. I think both teams will score and Over 3.5 Goals has a live chance at 13/8 (Bet365) but predicting a winner is not an easy task.
