DAN MARKS (@Hunterchaser22) previews Saturday evening’s clash between runaway Premier League leaders Man City and Leicester from the Etihad.
Manchester City v Leicester | Saturday 10th February 2018, 17:30 | Sky Sports
Leicester have only failed to score twice on the road this season and we can expect them to breach Manchester City’s backline on Saturday evening.
There can be no doubting the credentials of the team that Pep Guardiola has put together and we can all admire the way the champions-elect have played. I make the 1/5 price for City about right and expect them to beat Jamie Vardy and co who I have rated as comfortably the seventh best team in the league.
City have looked slightly vulnerable at the back in recent weeks and have conceded in four of their last five home games and with Leicester being so free-scoring on the road, an exciting Saturday showdown is in store.
The Riyad Mahrez affair will add a bit of spice to the fixture even though it is unlikely that he will be selected by Claude Puel. That doesn’t mean the visitors can be underestimated and with Vardy and his teammates in goalscoring form, we can expect them to at least trouble City even though taking points off of them may be a bit of a stretch.
City should come away with three points but I don’t expect them to have it all their own way. Back Leicester to grab a goal and Man City to win at a tasty 13/10 with Paddy Power.
