Leicester v Chelsea | Monday 20:00 | Sky Sports 1

Wow, what a fascinating match this is! Leicester, having one of their all-time greatest seasons, will return to the top spot with a victory here while after the weekend results Chelsea are now just one point off the relegation zone.

How do you approach this game from a betting point of view? Well the odds point towards a Chelsea victory with the Blues chalked up at best price 7/5. Leicester are 11/5 to win.

Chelsea’s price makes no appeal to me whatsoever. Even if they win you’re not getting a value bet. Their slump is not short term, it’s lasted for four months. Similarly Leicester’s amazing run of form is no fluke now, it’s consistent.

Have Chelsea turned the corner? I feel like I write that every week at the moment. It’s quite simply too soon to come to that conclusion. While Wednesday night’s win over Porto was a big statement there have been false dawns before.

The club were unbeaten in three matches (with two of those games wins) when they succumbed 1-0 at home to Bournemouth. So to sum up again, there’s simply not enough evidence to suggest 7/5 on Chelsea is a fair price,

It’s just one defeat all season for Leicester in 18 matches. They’ve won five of their last six Premier League games and the bandwagon shows no sign of halting.

They’ll relish this fixture on Monday night just like they did against Manchester United two weeks ago and even like they did against Arsenal in their sole defeat this season when they scored two goals.

I have to go with goals here. The Foxes are the only side in the Premier League to have registered in every one of their games this season and on top of that they’ve conceded in 12 of their 15 encounters.

Jose Mourinho will be desperate to win this match and put one over his original predecessor. He’s been incredibly rude about Ranieri in the past and the feeling of beating him (or at least avoiding defeat to him) will be key in his thoughts.

I think both teams will score in this game but I’ll spice my bet up a little by backing a couple of Correct Scores that I like. 1-1 at 13/2 with BetVictor and 2-2 at a huge 15/1 with the same firm.

I’d love to think Leicester can win here but I think we’ll see a stoic display from the wounded Blues as they bid to salvage some pride in the lead up to the busy Christmas period.
