Hull v Chelsea Tips | 22nd March 2015 | Sky Sports 1

THE Super Sunday match brings together Hull and Chelsea. Another three points for the champions-elect? Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) takes a look.

Hull v Chelsea | Sunday 16:00 | Sky Sports 1

It’s been an awful week for English football and it’s certainly ending on a dire note as these two sides clash in the second live Sky match on Sunday. While the first (Liverpool v Man Utd) offers an exciting cocktail of possibilities and intrigue, this offers little hope.

Chelsea lie three points clear at the top of the table with two games in hand and should extend that lead further as cramped odds of 1/2 with Ladbrokes testify.

Hull, for me, have had a poor season. Their pathetic blink-and-you’ll-miss-them appearance in the Europa League summed up all what’s wrong in modern English football and that set the tone for the rest of their season. I think they’ll stay up but don’t expect me to stand there and applaud them when that gets confirmed on 24th May.

The problem with Hull is that they don’t score that many goals. 26 goals registered from their 29 matches isn’t impressive and their record against the top sides is poor.

Since the dawn of November they’ve scored 13 goals in the division. Just two of those goals came against current top-half sides. That’s over seven games by the way, a decent sample.

I expect Chelsea to cruise to the title with them minimum of fuss and not an ounce of style. Unfasten your seatbelt for a poor end to a poor Premier League season.

The Blues have failed to score more than one goal in four of their last five Premier League matches and that trend may continue here. They know they’ve won the title, they know they don’t have to do an encore. Get the job done and move on.

There are lots of bets that sit within my line of thought here: Hull Under 0.5 Goals (far too short), Chelsea win to nil (tried that last week), Under 1.5 Goals (oh, tempting!) but instead I’ll go with the 7/5 on Under 2 Goals on the Asian Handicap Goal Line with BetVictor. If exactly two are scored I’ll get my cash back. #security
