Piece Of History (15/8 William Hill) has some very strong three-year-old form going into this race.
He won won his first two races at Class 4 level over a mile and one of these was on the all-weather surface over at Chelmsford. He ran well in defeat in the past few efforts at the distance over 7f, which you can see isn’t his best distance, and the step back up to 1m here on Monday which will be sure to suit.
He contests this from the top weight, but steps back down in class from a few runs in a higher division than this against some really good types and can get back to winning ways with Oisin Murphy booked for the ride under a yard that is bang in form at the moment.
