Horse Racing: Lingfield the host for Tuesday’s NAP

HORSE RACING expert Jake Russell (@JakeRuss1000) shares his his daily NAP with his best Tuesday bet arriving from Lingfield.

3.00 Lingfield | Tuesday 19th November 2019

A very nice NAP winner on Monday to get us off to a flying start this week. Hopefully Tuesday’s selection can get the job done to make it two from two.

Cuban Pete (15/8 BetVictor) was a very game and fairly impressive winner last time out on his seasonal and chase debut. He jumped with confidence and rarely made a mistake that day. He did hang towards the rail on a few occasions but that didn’t matter as his jumping and running along the home straight won him the race.

When he swept to the lead four out he was not going to be stopped and jumped at the front very well. He certainly looked like a real chaser in the making for Venetia Williams with his big build and how well he took to the bigger obstacles like a duck in water.

He was a winner over hurdles last season on his last appearance, winning the same way he did on his chase debut. Jumping in behind the leader then sweeping to the front with only a few jumps to go, staying on very well on the flat.

He has a 6lb rise here, which is fair, but looking at his last performance that will not stop him, as he still had a lot of running left in him coming to the line.

Cuban Pete is almost a stone better off on the weights than the favourite (Clondaw Anchor) who ran a credible second in a Class 3 last time out, after making all the running to be beat by a very useful Nicky Henderson horse (Diablo De Rouhet). He was 14 lengths clear of third that day. With the weight and how well Cuban Pete won last time will make it hard for the favourite.

The talented Charlie Deutsch takes the reins again, fresh off his fantastic win at Cheltenham over the weekend. He rode him to victory last time out so the horse and jockey partnership is intact from last time and Charlie will know what to do to win this race.

With the last performance, the winning experience over fences and the low weight I feel this horse has another win or two in him this season, and he can continue his good run of form to make it two out of two over chasing.
