The May Hill stakes is a group 2 for fillies over a mile that has been won by some high class runners including Laurens who is now a Classic winning filly. This doesn’t look a high class renewal to me although there is one who could end up in that category.
The Godolphin owned Dubai Beauty (10/3 Betfred) is a superbly well bred filly who has so far won her only start. She’s potentially top class. She won her maiden at Newmarket in good style beating Posted by a length and a half who was subsequently sent off favourite for a group 2. There was a long way back to third and she looked very smart that day.
She takes on 10 previous winners here and though it’s a tricky race none have the potential star quality of her and she stands out here. There’s group form on offer but I would be very disappointed if Dubai Beauty doesn’t win this before stepping in to group one level later in the season.
