HORSE RACING expert Jake Russell (@JakeRuss1000) shares his his daily NAP with his best Friday bet arriving from Exeter.

It’s great to finally be back with my daily NAP write-ups for WLB. Hopefully we’ll get some winners over the coming week(s). On Friday, I’m heading to Exeter and supporting Espoir De Guye (13/8 Unibet) in the 2.35 Class 3 Handicap Chase.
This horse finished a very good second four weeks ago behind what looks like a classy and talented looking chaser in Simply The Betts for the Harry Whittington team.
The reason why our selection ran a good second was the manner in which he stayed on to get second – he looked like a beaten horse that day after being heavily ridden with five to go, but he is clearly a horse that responds well under pressure.
The step up in trip will be a benefit as he clearly showed he does need the longer trip. Both the winner and third-place that da have been subsequent winners since, both running and winning very well indeed, which is a fantastic boost of form for our selection too.
The soft ground will be perfect for this horse, who clearly has his best form on the softer surface, whereas his rivals may like it a bit firmer. Finishing second over hurdles last season and second in his chase debut last time out on a similar surface as Friday.
He certainly looks like he could be a great little chaser in the making for the cracking Venetia William’s team, and the French recruit will hopefully run a cracking race to show that here. The stables number one jockey Charlie Deutsch is the man booked in the saddle again, who has rode this horse in all three of his English runs. The partnership is clearly there with these horses and Charlie will know what’s required.
The main reason I am picking this selection is because of how genuine he has shown he was, staying on gamely to the line last time out. The step up in trip will be the main factor to getting this horse off the mark over the bigger obstacles and maybe onto bigger things this season.
