Over the month leading up to Euro 2012 it was Germany who proved the most popular with punters and it looked like they might usurp Spain at the top of the betting. This proved a shrewd move as Bento steadied the ship and steered the Portuguese to a second place finish in their qualifying group behind Denmark.
