MARK O’Haire’s (@MarkOHaire) European NAP returns after the international break and he’s got a Bundesliga game within sight.
Hannover 96 v Bayer Leverkusen | Saturday 14.30
A few weeks ago I wrote a piece about Hannover and their astonishing home record, which often goes unnoticed. So I’ve got to get them onboard this weekend.
They’re hosting Leverkusen and most places make Bayer odds-on shots and that’s just ridiculous. You can have Hannover at 3/1 (BetBRIGHT) to win this game but I’m playing it a little safer and backing the Double Chance at an equally ridiculous 17/20 (Bet365)!
The 96ers have won bagged three wins on the spin now to sit pretty in fourth. At their HDI-Arena home they’ve W4-D1 this term with only high-flying Borussia Mönchengladbach escaping without defeat.
But that home record is nothing new. Head back to 2010/11 and in the four years since, Hannover have managed to win a whopping 43/73 Bundesliga games on their own patch, losing just 12!
Meanwhile, visiting Leverkusen have managed just one win in five road trips so far this season and that’s despite four of those games coming against the current bottom-five!
Bayer have collected just four wins in 11 league outings – their worst win-rate at this stage of a season since 2007/08 and they’ve failed to score in back-to-back games. Not ideal when coming up against a side with six clean sheets in 11 matches to their name.
What’s more, Leverkusen haven’t won in their last six visits to face Hannover in Lower Saxony.
Backing this selection with Bet365 means we only need Hannover to avoid defeat to be in profit and just to remind ourselves, they’ve only been beaten in 12/73 (16%) Bundesliga home games in the past four years!
