SIX winners from his last eight European NAPs for Mark O’Haire (@MarkOHaire). He’s on the hunt for more with a focus on La Liga this Sunday afternoon…

Deportivo La Coruna v Valencia | 16.00 | Sky Sports 5

Valencia are all the rage at the minute in Spain. The fallen giants have started the new season superbly and new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is rightly claiming plenty of plaudits for the way in which the Bats are playing. They’ve won five of an unbeaten seven game start to the season – being held at Sevilla and Sociedad on the road, two excellent results in their own right.

Only Real Madrid and Barcelona have scored more than their 17-goal haul and only Barca hold a better defensive record than Los Che. Paco Alcacer has been outstanding and transferred his scoring form to Spanish duty in the past week and there’s a feeling the club could be on their way back, despite the takeover remaining incomplete.

But it’s the way they’re playing which is causing all sorts of problems to their opposition. Nuno’s team are quick, incisive, aggressive and going straight for the throats, straight out of the blocks. Spanish sides just aren’t used to it and it’s paying dividends handsomely.

Valencia have scored first in every game except the first; they have scored six times in the opening 15 minutes, eight times under 25 minutes and 10 times inside 31 minutes. And they’ve scored 3+ goals in 4/7 league outings already!

Yet Coral are giving us 10/11 that Valencia score Over 0.5 first-half goals at Deportivo on Sunday. That’s rock bottom Deportivo. Depor who’ve lost five of their first seven and conceded 19. That’s Depor who’ve lost four on the spin, leaking 15. And that’s Depor who’ve seen their opponents strike before the interval in five of their seven fixtures. It screams value.

At the Riazor, La Coruna have been hammered 8-2 by Real Madrid, were beaten 1-0 by Almeria last time out and held Rayo 2-2 back in August. The fixture will hold no fear for Los Che and I’m feeling quite excited about them doing the business on Sunday and winning us some cash. So thanks Coral!
