Cowdenbeath v Hearts Tips | 23rd December 2014

THE final football game in the UK before Christmas takes place on Tuesday as Cowdenbeath host Hearts. We got Chris Graham (chrisgraham79) to give us his views on the tie.

Cowdenbeath v Hearts | Tuesday 19:45

This game was supposed to be played earlier in the month but was called off due to the weather. Hearts now have a bigger chance of making Rangers fans suffer even more this Christmas.

If Robbie Neilson’s men win on Tuesday, they’ll be opening their presents celebrating an astonishing 12 point lead over the managerless Glasgow club. Not bad eh?

Hearts have had an incredible season so far. They’ve won 14 of their 16 Championship ties and drawn the other two. No other club can get close to that record in the UK leagues.

They’ve beaten Rangers home and away and taken four points out of six against Hibs. Their only other meeting with the Blue Brazil this season ended in a 5-1 Tynecastle romp.

But can I back them at 1/3 on a freezing night in Fife two nights before Christmas? Not for me. Jimmy Nicholl’s side are coming off the back of a superb win in Dumfries against Queen Of The South at the weekend, and the manager has been sounding buoyant in the press.

Before their Queen Of The South win, Beath only lost 1-0 at Ibrox in the league and their last six games have been decided by an odd goal. Two of those games were wins.

I’m going to show faith in Cowdenbeath on Tuesday and back them with a goal start in the Asian Handicap at 67/40 with Bet365. As long as Hearts don’t win by two or more goals I won’t face a loss.
