Coventry will be looking to bounce back to League One at the first time of asking following their relegation last season. After finishing sixth this term, the Sky Blues beat Notts County 5-2 on aggregate in the play-off semi-finals to reach Wembley.

Exeter will be aiming to go one better than 2016/17 when suffering play-off final heartbreak against Blackpool here. The Grecians finished two places and five points ahead of Coventry in the League Two and overcame Lincoln 3-1 on aggregate to reach their second successive play-off final.

When the two teams met in the league this season, home advantage proved to be decisive. Coventry beat Exeter 2-0 courtesy of an own goal and a late Devon Kelly-Evans goal at the Ricoh with Exeter returning the favour four months later thanks to a Ryan Harley’s solitary strike.

The dangerman for Exeter is Jayden Stockley after scoring 20 goals in 43 games for the Devon outfit. After his move from Aberdeen, he has been a regular goalscorer, including bagging the opener in their second leg semi-final success. The 15/8 with Unibet that he will show up again with a goal appeals.

Whilst Exeter finished the higher of the two, Coventry start the game as favourites. If the bookies are proven right, Mark Robins’ men may need to score at least twice, due to the Grecians’ impressive firepower. Therefore, Coventry to win and Both Teams To Score (9/2 Betfair) should have legs at a nice price.

With it being the last game of the season, both teams will know that one final push could clinch promotion. In cup matches like this, late goals are a possibility with team’s throwing every last ounce at picking up a positive result. Such approaches can lead to late goals and Betway’s 13/10 for the last goal being scored after the 76th minute should also be considered.
