The Coral Cup is one of the big betting handicaps of the week and this is wide open. I’d be looking for an each-way selection and I’ve found one from a red hot stable.
Uradel (11/2 BetVictor) is a well-supported favourite, likely to be very popular given connections fast start to the meeting so far. However, with the ground turning soft and him stepping up in trip I have reservations about him. He’s got a chance but there will be no hiding place here and I’m prepared to take him on.
I’m opposing him with his stablemate and one time Gold Cup hope Killutagh Vic (16/1 Unibet). His career has rather come off the rails since winning at the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals in 2015 but he does show flashes of brilliance.
His jumping over fences is at times terrible and back over hurdles on a mark that is 10lbs lower than his chase rating makes him of interest here as an each way bet.
