CHELSEA take on Tottenham in Sunday’s Premier League highlight. Tom Love (@TomLove_18) shares his betting thoughts.

Frank Lampard reunites with the manager who won so much with him at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in what could be a battle between two title contenders. Ok, maybe it’s a little premature to start putting these two in that category but both are in flying form and look difficult to stop at this present moment.
Chelsea snatched a last gasp winner in Brittany midweek to all but secure their passage to the knockout stages of the Champions League whereas Spurs smashed four past Ludogorets to stay top of their Europa League group. Both have the squad depth to compete on a number of fronts this season.
Defensively the Blues have really improved of late, the reassurance that Edouard Mendy has given in goal has clearly rubbed off on the backline and Thiago Silva has added much needed experience.
Chelsea are on a six match winning run, in which they’ve conceded just twice, goals therefore could be at a premium at the Bridge. Spurs themselves defended excellently against Manchester City and are likely to play in a similar fashion here as Mourinho looks to contain and counter with quality.
One thing that could worry Spurs fans is their awful record at Stamford Bridge, they’ve won just once in their last 34 attempts! It may go some way to explaining their chunky odds of 11/4 here. Instead I’ll swerve the outright market and head to the Bet Builder market and plump for a 4/5 shot that has landed in the last six meetings between the two.
If we combine Under 4 Goals, Over 0 Chelsea Cards and Over 0 Tottenham Cards we can get that 4/5 and that does appeal. There’s been added needle between these two since 2015/16 season when Spurs were in the title run-in with Leicester but the Blues played party poopers.
Since then the cards have flowed and we have a ref in Paul Tierney who’s been above average for dishing out cards this season. The head to heads have been pretty tight with bragging rights at stake and given the decent defensive efforts of both at the moment it could be another well fought but cagey encounter.
I’ll also dip into the props market as the 5/6 available with Betfair on Mason Mount to have a shot on target looks a tempting angle in. It’s landed in 3 of his last 4 and one of those he had 2 in. He gets involved in all their attacks and loves to have a pop. It’s as short as 8/15 in some other places so the 5/6 looks a good price, as does the 9/2 on him having 2 or more.
