Beginning the season as the surprise package, Burnley are now 12-games without a win in all competitions. Such was their fine start to the season, the still sit 7th.
The Clarets have only lost four of their last 13 home matches, against Arsenal, Man Utd, Tottenham and Liverpool. Three of those loses were by the single-goal, with the game level at half-time.
Sean Dyche’s team play with a variation of a 4-4-2 yet have this incredible ability to keep things tight and remain competitive in games. They’ve conceded more than the single goal in just five of 28 league games, and each of those were against sides inside the top-six.
Unconvincing Everton
Everton under Sam Allardyce have shown glimpses, but they’ve failed to put a solid run together. This season, the Toffees have won just one of 13 Premier League away games, scoring more than the single in just one of those.
Balancing defensive solidity while retaining a goal threat has proved problematic for ‘Big Sam’ as they look to make strides before consecutive games against Man City and Liverpool later in the month.
Siding with Burnley
The returns of James Tarkowski and Chris Wood are a massive boost for Dyche and they look worth siding with this Saturday. Despite a poor run of results, the resilient performances have still been there. They have a great record at home to sides outside the top six, so the draw no bet market draws appeal.
