If you like seeing goals scored, you’ll have loved the last couple of weeks in the Premier League – and Bournemouth have been front and centre as far as high-scoring drama is concerned.

Eddie Howe’s men began the month by completing one of the most impressive comebacks of the season so far, as the Cherries rallied from 3-1 down to bag an astonishing 4-3 victory against Liverpool at Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth’s delight, however, turned to despair as they found themselves on the wrong end of another high-scoring match on Saturday, with Burnley claiming a 3-2 victory at the end of a breathless 90 minutes at Turf Moor.

Foxes come to life

Will Tuesday’s tussle with Leicester provide the same level of excitement? There’s every chance that it will, for a dismal domestic season for the Foxes came to life in the most spectacular fashion on Saturday evening.

Claudio Ranieri’s men have been a revelation in European competition thus far this term, but it seems safe to suggest that the Foxes won’t be celebrating back-to-back Premier League title triumphs come May.

Jamie Vardy and friends, though, showed that the champions can still turn it on when they are in the mood with a fantastic 4-2 win against Manchester City.

Inspired by a hat-trick from the England striker, Leicester charged into a commanding 4-0 lead against Pep Guardiola’s side at the King Power and, even though the visitors took some of the gloss off the win with a couple of late goals, it was fabulous stuff from the Foxes.

Back goals galore

While it remains to be seen whether that remarkable victory will act as a catalyst for Leicester’s limp league form, backing goals galore once again when Ranieri’s men make the trip to the south coast looks to be a solid selection.

Indeed, there have been more than two goals scored in each of the last seven fixtures that the Foxes have fulfilled, with Leicester failing to find the net in just two of their last 11 games – on the road in the Champions League on both occasions.

Bournemouth are barely backward when it comes to going forward themselves; the Cherries have hit the net in 12 of their last 14 Premier League games on home soil, while Leicester have leaked two or more goals in six of their last seven outings.

The 5/6 (BetStars) quote for Tuesday’s tussle to produce more than two goals should be eagerly snapped up by punters ahead of kick-off at Vitality Stadium.
