CARD KING Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) analyses the cards market ahead of Monday night’s critical promotion/relegation play-off second leg in the Bundesliga.
Nurnberg v Eintracht Frankfurt | Monday 19.30 | BT Sport Europe
It may seem like another meaningless night for most people but try telling that to Nurnberg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
These two teams meet in the second leg of their promotion/relegation play-off to decide who earns a place in the Bundesliga for the 2016/17 season.
A crowd of over 51,000 witnessed the first leg which was cagey and saw only two yellows issued. The match ended 1-1 so it’s all to play for in Franconia on Monday night.
The return fixture is expected to be much more intense with a favourable referee appointed. Christian Dingert gets the whistle and he averages 5.47 cards-per-game in 2015/16.
He has officiated Nurnberg three times this season showing 21 cards at an average of 7.00 cards-per-match. Dingert covered Frankfurt once dishing out six cards against Borussia Dortmund in the top-flight.
There were seven yellows during regulation time last season in the equivalent fixture between Karlsruhe and Hamburg. And that means taking Over 45 Bookings Points at 7/10 with William Hill looks a solid bet for this second leg fixture in Nurnberg.
