FRESH from nailing his tournament NAP Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) returns with a bookings bet in France v Switzerland.

France v Switzerland | Sunday 20:00 | BBC One

Switzerland will hope for a marked improvement on their only previous final tournament meetings with France as the neighbours reconvene for their last UEFA EURO 2016 Group A match.

Switzerland’s record in 37 games against France is W12 D9 L16, but they have yet to win a competitive encounter with Les Bleus (W0 D3 L2).

After 32 friendly fixtures between 1905 and 2003, their first competitive meeting was in their final group match at UEFA EURO 2004, when Jacques Santini’s France defeated Jakob Kuhn’s Switzerland 3-1.

Zinédine Zidane and Thierry Henry (two) scored the France goals, while Switzerland’s consolation came from Johan Vonlanthen, who became the EURO finals’ youngest ever marksman at 18 years 141 days.

France have already qualified for the next stage and the Swiss are also reasonably positioned with four points in the bag. There was a solitary card in the last meeting between these two countries which came in the 2014 World Cup.

Damir Skomina of Slovenia is in charge and he is one of the more lenient referees on the circuit. In five Champions League games this season he gave just nine yellows. In his only Euro 2016 match so far he gave one yellow in the encounter between Russia and Slovakia.

My gut instinct when I saw this priced up was to go under and I can’t get away from that. I’m backing under 3.5 cards at 1.875 on Bet365’s Asian line.
