Real Sociedad travel down to Barcelona to take on an Espanyol side in dreadful form. The hosts haven’t won in six and now sit just above the drop zone. The Basque visitors are also far from safe in 14th place of a congested bottom half in La Liga.
The meeting in San Sebastian earlier in the season had eight cards in it including a first half red. The two previous tussles at Espanyol had seven cards a piece.

In four career games officiating Espanyol this ref has given them 3.25 cards. Likewise he usually gives Sociedad 3.25 too. Espanyol are always a dirty team (averaging 3.86 per game) and Sociedad are also pretty ill disciplined (3.14).
