Asian Handicap Tips | 6th-7th December 2014

Our Asian Handicap man Dark Dyson (@Dark_Dyson) returns armed with three weekend bets to share.

Newcastle v Chelsea | Saturday 12.45 | BT Sport 1

The Magpies have won three of the last six meetings between the teams and have been in great form so far this season, so they should be confident of causing the league leaders some major problems in the Saturday lunchtime live match.

Chelsea will welcome back top scorer Diego Costa who was suspended against Spurs in midweek, but they are missing key midfielder Nemanja Matic and potentially Gary Cahill for the trip to the North East.

On paper Chelsea should win this game, but as mentioned, they have struggled in the North East previously and with the Asian Handicap line set at Chelsea -1 there is some scope to take on the Blues.

They often play a less expansive game when away from home and this is highlighted by the fact they have only covered a -1 line twice in seven away games so far this season.

In this instance, Matic could be a bigger loss to the team than Costa was in midweek and I think Newcastle are capable of taking a point on Saturday, so I’m happy to back Newcastle +1 at 39/40 with Bet365.

Hull City v West Brom | Saturday 15:00

Both of these sides have been enduring some poor form recently, in fact Hull are winless in their last seven Premier League games while West Brom have lost four on the spin. This weekend represents a great chance for both sides to get their respective campaigns back on track.

Albion have really been struggling to score goals since Saido Berahino’s hot streak ran out five games ago, and with just three away goals scored in their six games it’s hard to see where their next away win is coming from.

Meanwhile, Hull have only managed one home win from six games but they are scoring goals. Only Southampton have kept a clean sheet at Hull so far this season.

There’s not much to choose between these two sides, but Hull were unlucky to take just a point from their trip to Goodison Park against Everton on Wednesday night and West Brom are winless in four against Hull in the Premier League.

With that in mind I like the look of Hull -0.5 at a juicy looking 13/9 this weekend with BetVictor.

Aston Villa v Leicester | Sunday 16:00 | Sky Sports 1

Aston Villa have finally discovered some good form with an unbeaten run of four games, culminating in victory at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace on Tuesday night. That game also saw the return to goalscoring form of their star striker Christian Benteke, who will be keen to make up for lost time and score against local rivals Leicester.

The Foxes have had a torrid time in the league so far and currently prop up the table with just 10 points from 14 games. Their away record of W1 D0 L6 with just three goals scored makes for uncomfortable reading, but this Midlands Derby could be just what they need to kick start their relegation battle and save Nigel Pearson’s job.

However, with the form and value all on Villa’s side this bet is an easy one for me to take. Aston Villa -0.5 at 11/8 with BetVictor is just too big to turn down and I fully expect the Villans to claim all three points on Sunday.
