PREMIER LEAGUE expert Daniel McCulloch (@DMcCulloch1984) previews Super Sunday’s showdown between North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham at The Emirates.
Arsenal v Tottenham | Sunday 2nd December 2018, 14:05 | Sky Sports
My highlight of the build up to this game was Tim Sherwood’s performance on Sky Sports The Debate. The former Tottenham player and manager was asked to pick his combined XI across the two sides and managed to pick 11 Spurs players.
Indeed, Sherwood stated that his toughest decision was whether to pick Danny Rose or Ben Davies at left back! However, while I don’t agree with Sherwood here, Tottenham definitely do have the better side and I don’t believe they will lose this match, so I’ll back them Draw No Bet at 103/100 with Marathon.
Arsenal may be unbeaten in the league since August but their performances have not been as good as their results suggest, with their excellent finishing masking defensive deficiencies. Indeed, just a few weeks ago they were very fortunate to draw at home to Wolves.
I don’t believe Spurs have been exhilarating this season either, but they were really impressive against Chelsea last week and with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane all likely to start, I think they will have too much for the Gunners backline.
A draw is very possible though, so I wouldn’t look to back Tottenham outright and I may well have a few quid on 1-1 and 2-2. I can’t see Spurs losing here though so take the 103/100 with Marathon on them in the Draw No Bet market.
