Crawley v Fleetwood | 13th September 2014 | 15.00
Crawley have been pretty awful recently and I quite like the look of former Crawley forward Jamie Proctor who returns with Fleetwood. He’s already bagged a couple this season and we just love a former player in the Anytime Notebook. He should play the full 90 minutes and at 13/5 with Coral, he’s first in the book.
Bradford v Swindon | 13th September | 15.00
Swindon had a weekend off because of the international break and boss Mark Cooper will have been putting in more meticulous work to get his side ready for this trip. He’ll have watched Bradford’s defeat to Yeovil and Aaron Martin scoring two headers from set-pieces to further highlight the defensive problems the Bantams are having in the absence of Andrew Davies.
So we’re going to take a bit of a gamble and stick Jordan Turnbull in for his Anytime Notebook debut. He’s a centre-half on-loan from Southampton and fits the bill if Swindon are going to take advantage of those set-piece issues for Bradford. He’s 16/1 with Bet365.
Accrington Stanley v AFC Wimbledon | 13th September | 15.00
Wimbledon have been sharing the goals around this season apart from ‘The Beast’ Adebayo Akinfenwa who has yet to net for his new club. That’s good news for us punters as it means he goes off at a better price at 11/4 with William Hill. He hit double-figures with goals last season in League One last year and his last visit to the Crown Ground score him hit a hat-trick!
Jamie Proctor (Fleetwood) to score anytime (13/5 Coral)
Jordan Turnbull (Swindon) to score anytime (16/1 Bet365))
Adebayo Akinfenwa (Wimbledon) to score anytime (11/4 William Hill)
