ANOTHER winner for our Italian academic Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) yesterday. Can he end the weekend on a winning note at the San Siro?
AC Milan v Napoli | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport 1
There’s a tremendous betting opportunity in this match and it’s all about Napoli.
AC Milan have already lost at home to Juventus and Palermo, and just limped past Udinese two weeks ago at the San Siro. In Sunday’s match they will miss Ignazio Abate and Mattia De Sciglio at the back, and are expected to use Adil Rami as right-back and Pablo Armero at left, with Philippe Mexes playing at centre-back.
That looks a really unreliable defence, especially when you have to play against Gonzalo Higuain. It’s no exaggeration to suggest Napoli may have the most dangerous attacking side in the league with Dries Mertens, Marek Hamsik and Jose Callejon teaming up with the Argentine international.
Last season Napoli enjoyed a convincing win in the San Siro, and I’m not expecting things to change on Sunday. After a stunning win against Roma, Napoli have turned around their season and are unbeaten in Serie A since September.
They may have taken their eye off the ball against lesser sides like Cagliari and Empoli, but when it matters in the big games they usually produce. Last season they had outstanding wins in the Champions League and this campaign have beaten Roma and Fiorentina. I am happy to back them in the Draw No Bet market at 10/11 with William Hill.
