GAVIN Horsfall (@GHorsfall) casts his eagle eye over the Football League to find the best value anytime goalscorer bets.

Gillingham v MK Dons | Saturday 15.00

Plenty catches the eye this weekend, not least Gillingham going off at a huge price (4/1) to beat MK Dons. Justin Edinburgh takes over for his first game in charge with Gills in good shape, unbeaten in their last five and looking for a third win on the bounce.

Millwall loanee John Marquis has formed a good partnership with Cody McDonald since arriving in January; the pair look to be benefitting from a settled line-up and have W4-D2-L1 of the last seven games they have started together.

It’s Bradley Dack (6/1 Betfred) that gets the nod here though. I caught the first half of the win at Peterborough in midweek where Dack took up a position in behind the front two.

The 21-year old looks to be kicking on after some good displays last season and looks one of the standout prices to add to his tally of four goals in his last seven games.

Chesterfield v Leyton Orient | Saturday 15.00

Chesterfield have won one and lost one in the post-Eoin Doyle era; the defeat in question came midweek against Preston where Sam Hird’s dismissal early on saw Paul Cook’s men play 87 minutes a man down.

It doesn’t take much imagination to back the Spireites at home to Orient this weekend and you could argue that the same can said for putting up Sheffield Wednesday loanee Caolan Lavery (15/8 Betfred).

I though, like most, will have the goal expectation pretty high for the home side here (two+ in five of last eight) plus you get the added advantage of that creative Chesterfield midfield putting plenty of chances his way, I’d be shorter so that makes it a bet.

Doncaster v Yeovil | Saturday 15.00

If you’re looking for a short one to put Lavery in with then Uche Ikpeazu (85/40 BetVictor) should be eager to make up for lost ground after a hamstring injury saw him miss Doncaster’s 5-0 midweek win at Crawley.

The Watford loanee looked really impressive in his spell at Crewe and made a similarly bright start for Rovers.

Best Of The Rest

Fleetwood youngster Nick Haughton (8/1 Betfred) made a livewire debut in defeat to Bristol City a fortnight back and managed to keep his starting place, even when Antoni Sarcevic returned to the squad in the midweek win at Barnsley.

I’ll be checking team news ahead of The Cod Army’s visit to Crewe to see if we have a runner.
