Scottish Football Tip | 13th February 2015 | BT Sport 1

IT’S all about Friday night for our Scottish football expert Willie Duncan (@Willie_Duncan) this weekend.

Rangers v Hibs | Friday 19:45 | BT Sport 1

I was in big trouble last weekend. The convenor of my Hearts Supporters’ Club approached me while we were on the way to Livingston and said: “Since when did you become a tipster?!”.

It turns out that he has just joined Twitter, follows We Love Betting (of course!) and had stumbled across last week’s selection. He was all over Albion Rovers and there was a real danger, with Hearts toiling against Livingston, that I would be facing a long walk home from the game!

Fortunately, Hearts got a couple of late goals, I was allowed back on the bus and memories of Albion’s dismal defeat to Elgin began to fade.

As I write this, it’s Friday 13th – and there’s something spooky going on. Yes, I fancy Hibs to get something at Ibrox on Friday night. Alan Stubbs’ side have lost just once in the league since winning at Ibrox back in September and have scored 22 goals in their last eight games, including a Christmas stuffing of Rangers – 4-0 on December 27th.

Rangers will field their third-choice goalkeeper with Steve Simonsen serving a betting ban, while captain Lee McCulloch is also out after picking up a ban for a Scottish Cup stamp last week – although I have yet to find a Rangers fan mourning the loss of either player.

The cavalry has arrived on loan from Newcastle United to shore up Rangers’ rapidly deteriorating campaign. Are they any good? I’m not sure that even Mike Ashley knows the answer to that one.

A win for Hibs appeals at a chunky 21/10 with Sportingbet, but the Easter Road side still have a soft centre at times, as demonstrated when they tossed away a 3-1 lead against Falkirk at home last month. They also fell behind to League Two side Arbroath in the Scottish Cup last weekend before coming back to win 3-1.

Therefore, I’m taking no chances and lumping on Friday’s fixture to produce three or more goals at 5/6 with BetVictor as my best bet from Scotland this weekend.

Best Bet

Rangers v Hibs – Over 2.5 Goals (5/6 BetVictor)
