PREMIER LEAGUE expert Ross Casey (@Rosscasey24) unpicks the late Saturday kick-off as Fulham welcome West Ham to Craven Cottage.
Fulham v West Ham | Saturday 15th September 2018, 17:30 | BT Sport
West Ham make the short trip west to take on a less-fancied Fulham side in the late kick-off on Saturday.
The Hammers come into this match on the back of three wins in a row, with Felipe Anderson proving just why they spent £36m for his services. Their next five matches are against Fulham, Watford, Southampton, Burnley and Brighton, so you expect them to be higher than the 11th place they currently occupy thereafter. The Hammers have been made favourites to win here, with a best price of 6/4 available.
Many tipped Fulham to glide into Premier League life with little interruption, however, their results leave a lot to be desired. Slavisa Jokanovic was sacked after a poor start to the season and Claudio Ranieri was brought in to replace him.
Since his appointment. Fulham have picked up four points from four matches, but interestingly for this match, all four have been on home soil.
The Cottagers have won three of their last four matches against West Ham at home too, so some may well take the punt on a home win here, with Fulham best priced at 37/19 with Unibet.
Fulham
Fulham have scored four goals in the two matches that Ranieri has been in charge of at home and in total, they have netted in six of eight across all competitions. Add to this fact that they have only kept a clean sheet once – against League Two club Exeter – and Both Teams To Score looks a shout.
The bookies have spotted that trend too though, and have that nicely covered with a best price of just 6/11 with Sportingbet, so I would be tempted to take-on West Ham here – they’ve only won twice on the road all season in the Premier League.
You can grab Fulham double chance and Over 1.5 Goals at 188BET at 5/6 which combines the decent form of Fulham at home and the likelihood of goals.
Another to look at could well be Aboubakar Kamara in the Anytime market. The French striker, nicknamed AK47, has been firing them in of late, scoring in each of his last two matches. He’s a best price of 23/10 to score again on Saturday evening.
West Ham
The Hammers have turned their season around, despite injuries to key players Mirko Arnautovic, Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini. Incredibly, they have scored nine goals in their last three matches, picking up three points in each.
Considering they have scored three goals in each of their last three games and Fulham don’t keep clean sheets, another option here would be to back Over 2.5 Goals at 9/13 with 188BET.
The betting angle
Despite West Ham’s excellent form, I do feel that Fulham are capable of getting some kind of result in this one and I do like the option of backing goals too.
So my single selection here will be the Over 1.5 Goals and Fulham double chance at 5/6 with 188BET.
