Scottish Football – Championship hot-shots to star on Saturday, says Mr Fixit

DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) shares his best bets from Saturday’s Scottish action.

St Johnstone v Hamilton | Saturday 10th November 2018, 15:00

There is no Celtic, Rangers, Hibs or Aberdeen in action on Saturday so the Premiership has a low-key feel to it. Leaders Hearts face a tricky test at home to Killie while Dundee v St Mirren looks impossible to call.

So my focus is on revitalised St Johnstone at home to Hamilton. Saints were heading towards the basement after losing 6-0 to Celtic last month but have bounced back with four victories in a row ‘to nil’.

Suddenly Tommy Wright’s men are in the top six with no chance of being relegated. Those wins include 1-0 successes at Hibs and Livingston and have come despite missing three penalties in their last three matches.

Saints are handily priced at 4/5 with Ladbrokes and I’m backing them to win ‘to nil’ again at 7/4 at Skybet.

Accies are no mugs but find scoring difficult and have bagged just two goals in six on the road and once in four visits to McDiarmid.

Ayr v Queen of the South | Saturday 10th November 2018, 15:00

Ayr are back at the top of the Championship and looking to avenge a 5-0 defeat at Palmerston earlier in the season. They face a side whose form has faded with three defeats in five and I like the home win at 24/25 with Marathon.

Ayr have won seven of their last eight in the league, including five in a row at home, and look good for three points again.

Best Bets

St Johnstone v Hamilton – St Johnstone to win ‘to nil (7/4 SkyBet)

Ayr v Queen of the South – Ayr to win (24/25 Marathon)
